Our Practice
We focus our practice on family law matters, handling issues involving
- divorce. We protect the rights of men and women at all stages of a divorce, from the initial filing through negotiated settlements or trial. We also handle requests for modification or enforcement of existing divorce judgments. We handle all matters arising out of a divorce, including child custody and parenting time, child support, spousal support or alimony, and marital property division.
- military family law disputes. We protect the rights of active duty or retired military members, or their spouses, in divorce and family law proceedings. We understand the provisions of the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act and can help you get the relief you need.
- child custody and parenting time. We will help you work out and put in place custody and visitation arrangements that are in the best interests of your children, and which also support your rights as parents.
We offer discounted fees to individuals who are active duty, reserve or retired active duty, as well as members of the Minnesota National Guard. We also represent junior enlisted personnel (E-1 through E-4) serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom or Enduring Freedom at no charge, depending on current workload. We also offer discounted rates to licensed law enforcement officers, certified fire fighters, and emergency medical service (EMS) personnel.
